Privacy
The sounding chart you upload is processed in memory and discarded the moment conversion finishes. There is no retained copy on our servers, it is never sent to any third party, and it is never used to train or tune anything. Only the point data extracted from it — coordinates, depths and confidence values — is kept, against your account.
2 · Who we are
Aure Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, operates ensoundings.com and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy covers the ensoundings.com website and the conversion service. Questions, or a request about your own data: support@ensoundings.com.
3 · What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to run. We do not buy personal information, and we do not build profiles.
| Category | What it is, and why |
|---|---|
| Account | The email address you sign in with, handled by our authentication provider, and a name only if you choose to add one. Needed to hold your conversions against an account and to let you sign back in. |
| Conversions | The file name you uploaded, the extracted point data, conversion and payment status, and timestamps. Needed to deliver and re-deliver your exports. Not the drawing itself — that is never stored. |
| Payments | Transaction status, amount, currency and the billing email, received from our Merchant of Record. We never see or store card numbers. |
| Technical | Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, requested paths — kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. |
| Analytics | Aggregate page-view counts, and only if you turn analytics on. Off by default. See §5. |
4 · How we use it
We use the information above to:
- run the conversion service and deliver your exports
- authenticate you and keep your account secure
- process payments and issue refunds
- keep your conversion history available for re-download
- diagnose faults, prevent abuse and protect the service
- meet legal and tax obligations
- understand which pages are used, in aggregate — only with your consent
5 · Cookies and local storage
We use two categories of browser storage, and you control the second one. Your choice is recorded in a cookie named cc_cookie and can be changed at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.
There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no cross-site tracking, and no fingerprinting. We do not respond differently to a Global Privacy Control signal because we do not sell or share personal information in the first place — see §7.
| Category | What it stores |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary — always on | Your sign-in session, set by our authentication provider (__client_uat, __session), the authentication provider's environment cache, your light-or-dark theme choice, and your cookie preference itself. The service cannot work without these, so they are not optional. |
| Analytics — off unless you turn it on | Aggregate, cookieless page-view measurement from our hosting provider: which pages were viewed, referrer and country. No identifier is stored on your device, and it is never combined with your account. |
6 · Who processes your data
We use a small set of service providers under contract. Each receives only what it needs, may use it only to provide its service to us, and may not use it for its own purposes. We share personal information with no one else, except where the law requires it or to establish or defend a legal claim.
| Provider | What it does |
|---|---|
| Clerk | Authentication — your sign-in email and session. |
| Supabase | The database holding conversion records and extracted point data. |
| Vercel | Application hosting, delivery, server logs, and analytics if you enable it. |
| Dodo Payments | Merchant of Record — takes the payment and holds the billing details. |
7 · We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act and the comparable laws of other states. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
We do not use your personal information, your drawings or your extracted data to train machine-learning models — ours or anyone else's.
8 · How long we keep it
Source drawings: never stored, so there is nothing to keep. Converted point data: available to re-download for 18 months after purchase, then deleted. You can delete any conversion, and its export, at any time from the conversions register.
Account data is kept while your account is active and removed when you delete it. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept on a short rolling window.
9 · Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- get a copy of it in a portable form
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- opt out of sale or sharing — though as §7 says, we do neither
- not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
10 · How to exercise them
Most of it is under your direct control: your conversions and exports in the conversions register, your email and account deletion in account settings, and your analytics choice in Cookie settings.
For anything else, email support@ensoundings.com. We will verify the request against the email address on your account and respond within 45 days, extending once if we need to and telling you why. You may use an authorised agent; we will ask for proof of their authority. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly excessive.
If we decline a request we will say why, and you may ask us to reconsider by replying to the same address.
11 · Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Conversion records are isolated per account at the database layer, so one account cannot read another's. Administrative access is limited and logged.
No system is perfectly secure, but the zero-retention design means the most sensitive input — your source drawing — is never at rest to begin with. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
12 · Children
The service is for professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us at support@ensoundings.com and we will delete it.
13 · Automated processing
The extraction engine processes your drawing automatically, but it makes no decision about you. There is no profiling, no scoring of individuals and no automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
14 · Where data is processed
Our providers operate primarily in the United States, and your data is processed there. The service is offered to United States customers; it is not directed to people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
15 · Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we update the revision line at the top of the page. For a change that materially affects existing users we will give notice by email before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
16 · Contact
